Profile:

The SRES’s Sanjivani Karmveer Bhaurao Patil Polytechnic was established in 1982 by great visionary person, former minster and pioneer of Socio-Economic Transformation Hon’ble  Shri Shankarraoji Kolhe Saheb and Department of Electrical Engineering became its part since academic year 2008-09 with the intake capacity of 60. Its first batch passed out in academic year 2010-11. From the first batch itself, the department is evoking the overwhelming response for the placement of the students in various multinational companies through Campus Placement Drive as more emphasize is being given for industry oriented teaching, development of soft skills, etc. I view to inculcate various values, the expert lectures are being organised under the banner of Sanjivani Thought Leader, Sanjivani I connect and My Story Board programmes.

The department is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai. There is big achievement of the department that it is NBA accredited since 2016. This would have been the only department in Maharashtra amongst un-aided category which has been accredited since last six years consecutively.

The department is committed  to the advancement of the frontiers of knowledge in Electrical Engineering and to provide the students with a stimulating and rewarding learning experience. The department is equipped with the state of art equipments and laboratories with excellent computational facilities. Conducive environment exists in the department for both staff and students. Quality technical education is imparted to the students in the field of Electrical Engineering.

The Department of Electrical Engineering is headed by Prof. S. S. Dawange with a graceful experience of 37.5 years in teaching. The Department has qualified and devoted team of teaching and non-teaching members. The various faculties of the department have published papers in National/International journals. The students also show their enthusiasm by presenting papers and participating in various level events and have won the prizes in the same. Various expert lectures/workshops, technical tours/industrial visits are organised for all round development of the students in various areas of Electrical Engineering and allied fields regularly.

Department of Electrical Engineering offers course in Diploma in Electrical Engineering of duration 3 years after S.S.C. and 2 years after HSC/ITI/MCVC as per Government rules and regulations.
