Two-Day Workshop on PCB Design and Mini Projects – A Resounding Success!

The Electrical Department of Sanjivani K.B.P. Polytechnic recently organized a highly impactful Two-Day Workshop on PCB Design and Mini Projects, aimed at enriching students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience. The workshop provided a perfect blend of theoretical concepts and real-world applications, sparking innovation and curiosity among participants.

Led by the expert guidance of Mr. Bharud Pandit Jamanrav Sir, the sessions offered students an engaging platform to explore the fundamentals of PCB design while working on mini-projects that challenged their creativity and technical skills.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students demonstrating keen interest and leaving the sessions inspired and motivated to take their innovative ideas further.

As part of the academic curriculum and to enhance practical exposure, a group of students from Mechanical Engineering Department, Sanjivani K.B.P.Polytechnic undertook an industrial visit to the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology (CIPET), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, on 26/07/2025

CIPET, a premier national institution under the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, is renowned for its expertise in plastic engineering and technology. The visit provided students with valuable insights into various domains such as plastic processing, product design using CAD/CAM, mould manufacturing, and quality control.

During the visit, students were guided through advanced laboratories and workshops, including:

• Processing Lab: Demonstrations of injection moulding, blow moulding, and extrusion techniques.
• Tool Room: Exposure to high-precision CNC machines and mould fabrication units.
• CAD/CAM Lab: Introduction to design software used in the plastic product development cycle.
• Testing & Quality Control Lab: Hands-on overview of material testing and product quality assessment.

The experts at CIPET also conducted an interactive session where they explained current trends in polymer science and career opportunities in the plastic and petrochemical industries. Since the academic year 2016–2017, the institute has consistently met the rigorous quality benchmarks set by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for its core programs in Civil Engineering, Computer Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechatronics.
